Star created from 50,000 candles in Lisbon,Portugal

 

Thousands of candles were lit to form a star at Terreiro do Paco Square in Portugal on Dec 18,2011 to raise money for children and the elderly diagnosed with chronic diseases.

The candles were sold on the square at one euro each with the money going to non-profit institution that works to realise the ambitions of people, young and old, living with a chronic illness.
