KL Rahul emulates Rahul Dravid’s 21-year-old feat

K L Rahul became the first Indian wicket-keeper to hit a century outside Asia after Dravid’s effort in the 1999 World Cup against Sri Lanka at Taunton.Dravid had scored 135 in that match against Sri Lanka and also kept wickets.

MS Dhoni does not have a hundred outside Asia in ODIs.

This was also the first ODI hundred hundred by an Indian player batting at No. 5 or below since MS Dhoni’s 134 against England at Cuttack in Jan 2017

K L Rahul’s 4th ODI hundred took India to 296 for 7 after being sent in by New Zealand in the 3rd ODI.

K L Rahul made 112 runs (from 113 balls), including nine fours and two sixes, as he rescued India from 62/3 in the 13th over after being sent in to bat. He put on 100 runs with Shreyas Iyer (62 off 63 balls) for the fourth wicket, and later on another 107 runs with Manish Pandey (42 off 48 balls) for the fifth wicket

Shreyas Iyer surpasses Ian Chappell to create world record

Courtesy of his latest fifty, Shreyas Iyer surpassed former Australia cricketer Ian Chappell’s mark to set a new world record.

Shreyas Iyer now holds the record for best percentage of 50+ scores in ODIs. The right-hander has nine 50+ scores in 16 innings in 50-over format and his percentage reads 56.25. Earlier, the record was held by Chappell, who had eight 50+ scores in 16 innings.

Jasprit Bumrah goes wicketless for the 1st time in bilateral series

Apart from the series whitewash, Jasprit Bumrah's form ahead of the Test series will be a huge cause for concern for Virat Kohli's Indian team as he once again failed to pick up a wicket in the third and final ODI against New Zealand on Tuesday Feb 11,2020

Ranked No. 1 in the 50-over format, Bumrah's wicketless run has now stretched to four ODIs in succession since his return to the Indian limited-overs team in January, following his back injury. Before this series, Bumrah had never gone wicketless for more than 2 ODIs in a row.

This is also the first time he has failed to pick up a single wicket in a bilateral ODI series.

He finished with 0 for 50 in 10 overs in Mount Maunganui while in the first two matches he had figures of 0 for 64 and 0 for 53 respectively. In all he has bowled 30 overs for 167 runs with 1 maiden to his name
