This was the third time Israel has been hosting after 1979 and 1999
Forty-one countries took part in the contest
The winner was the Neterlands with the song "Arcade", performed by Duncan Lawrence and written by Laurence, Joel Sjöö and Wouter Hardy
This was the Neterlands 5th victory in the contest, following their wins in 1957;1959;1969 & !975
