2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia June 14 - July 15,2018 - 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities





The FIFA World Cup 2018 is scheduled to be held in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018.

 A total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities.

Spread over 1,800 miles from the exclave of Kaliningrad on the coast of the Baltic Sea to Ekaterinburg, at the base of the Ural mountains, 12 stadiums across Russia will host the 64 matches that comprise the 2018 World Cup.

The largest venue is also one of the newest - with the 81,000-capacity Luzhniki Stadium only reopened in 2018 on the site of the old ground in Moscow.

It is here that the first game will be held on 14 June and also the final, 31 days later.

1)The Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow has a seating capacity of about 80,000. The stadium will host the opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 14 and also the the 2018 World Cup final.

2)The Ekaterinburg Arena,Ekaterinburg which has a seating capacity of 45,000 will host the match between Egypt and Uruguay as its first match on June 15.

3)The Fisht stadium in Sochi has a seating capacity of 48,000. Opening match at this stadium will be between Portugal and Spain on June 15.

4)The Kaliningrad Stadium ,Kaliningrad  has a seating capacity of 35212. Kaliningrad will host Croatia-Nigeria as its first match on June 17.

5)The Kazan Arena,Kazan has a seating capacity of 45000. Kazan stadium will host France-Australia as its first match on June 16.

6)The Mordovia Arena in Saransk has a seating capacity of around 45,000. It will host Peru-Denmark as its first match on June 16.

7)The Nizhny Novgorod stadium has a seating capacity of about 45000. Nizhny Novgorod stadium will host its first match between Sweden and Korea Republic on June 18.

8)The Rostov arena in Rostov-on-Don has a seating capacity of about 45000. Rostov-on-Don stadium will host Brazil vs Switzerland on June 17 as its first match.
