India beat Australia by  8 wickets to a record fourth Under-19 World Cup title in front of a partisan crowd of 4000 odd at Bay Oval, to finish an unbeaten campaign that had begun against Australia at the same venue three weeks ago.The margin of victory then was 100 runs, and it was comprehensive in the grand final as well - eight wickets.

Prithvi Shaw was felled by an away swinger by Will Sutherland for 29(41 Balls 4x4)

Shubman Gill was drawn out of his crease and stumped of the bowling of Param Uppal for 31(30 Balls 4x4)

To win the tournament, India pulled off their second highest successful chase in U-19 World Cups, after the 226 to beat Australia in Townsville in 2012.Captain Unmukt Chand had led that chase with a sublime century, and on Saturday another Delhi boy,Manjot Kalra, reprised the feat

Rahul Dravid on Saturday finally got his hands on a World Cup trophy after his boys beat Australia in the final of the ICC U-19 World Cup final.

 Dravid had previously missed out on a World Cup title on two occasions - once as a player in 2003 and another as coach of the U-19 team in 2016. Not one to be swayed away by emotions, Dravid, in typical style, had some wise words for his boys, who were busy celebrating India's historic fourth U-19 World Cup crown. Speaking after India's comprehensive 8-wicket win, Dravid hoped the memory of a junior World Cup win won't define careers of his team. The former India captain said he wanted his players to create bigger and better memories for themselves.

Captain Prithvi Shaw joined the likes of Mohammad Kaif (2002), Virat Kohli (2008) and Unmukt Chand (2012) in leading India to the U-19 World Cup title.
