After being asked to bat, India were bundled out for 132, with Nayan Mongia scoring the most (46). Brian McFadyen was the pick of the bowlers for Australia, finishing with 4/20.
In reply, Stuart Law’s unbeaten 72 guided Australia home with 64 balls to spare.

It was India’s turn to return the favour as opener Ravneet Ricky’s masterful 108 guided his team to a thumping 170-run win.
His 108 included 12 boundaries. Though Yuvraj Singh grabbed some of the limelight with a blistering half-century, it was Ricky’s century that provided India the platform to go for a win. In reply to India’s 284/6, Australia could only manage 114.
Kaif’s team then went on to beat Sri Lanka in the final to win its maiden title.

The young guns came out all blazing in the coastal Australian town of Townsville to beat hosts and holders Australia by six wickets, powered by captain Unmukt Chand’s unbeaten 111 in a tense final on a bouncy pitch.
Wicketkeeper Smit Patel (62*) played a perfect supporting role and their unbroken 130-run stand saw India win the title for the third time.
Sent in to bat, Australia made 225/8, with captain William Bosisto scoring an unbeaten 87.
India started strongly but collapsed to 97-4 before Chand guided his team to victory with two overs to spare.
Chand’s innings was the defining performance of the World Cup as it came in demanding conditions and against rivals who were high on confidence after staying unbeaten until the final.

Captain Prithvi Shaw led from the front with a 94-run knock and shared a 180-run stand with fellow opener Manjot Kalra (86) to power the three-time champions to a 328/7.
Kamlesh Nagrakoti (3/29) and Shivam Mavi (3/45) then impressed with their speed and shared six wickets between them to bowl Australia out for 228 in 42.5 overs.
