Women face more crime at home than outside in India

For Women in India, homes are far from safe havens.

Cases of  crueltyby husbands and his relatives are more common than molestation, which ranks second among crimes committed against women.

Kidnappings follow at third, but a significant proportion of these cases are filed by girls' parents after her elopement.
