Rohit Sharma Becomes Second Indian to Slam 1,500 T20I Runs Wednesday Dec 20,2017

Stand-in-skipper Rohit Sharma added a fresh feather into his already illustrious cap by becoming only the second Indian to score 1500 runs in the shortest format of the game, on Wednesday.

During Rohit Sharma's  innings of 17 in the first T20I against Sri Lanka at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Rohit Sharma joined regular skipper Virat Kohli as the only two batsmen from the nation to reach this landmark.

Also, Rohit Sharma became only the 14th cricketer in the history of the format to cross this milestone.

So far, Rohit Sharma has featured in 69 T20Is for India and has scored 1502 runs at an average of 30.04, with a healthy strike rate of 129.93. The 'Hitman' has also slammed a century and 12 fifties in this format. However, Kohli is well ahead of Rohit in this list as he has scored 1956 runs in 55 T20Is, which includes 18 fifties.
