With an ongoing festive season, Maruti Suzuki launches Alto 800 Utsav Edition at price of Rs 3.94 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The Alto 800 Utsav Edition is based on Vxi(O) variant of the Alto 800 and will cost you more Rs 20,000 extra from the price of Vxi(O).
Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Utsav Edition gets cosmetic upgrades such as new seat covers, ORVM indicators, door seal guard and chrome accents on the bumper and tail lamp.In addition, it gets safety feature reverse parking sensors.
Inside the cabin, it gets all black seat upholstery with red strip.
There are no mechanical changes on the edition and its gets same 800cc engine.
The three-cylinder engine churns out 48 hp of power and 69 Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual transmission.
The entry-level hatchback claims a fuel economy of 24.7 kmpl.
Also, Maruti Suzuki dealers in country are offering Rs 25,000 discount along with exchange bonus offer.
In August 2017 sales, the mini segment which comprises of Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Alto K10 and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R reported sales of 35,428 units against 35,490 units in the same period.
Maruti Suzuki is also planning to showcase a new entry-level hatchback that will compete with Ranult Kwid
The company already showcased concept at 2012 Geneva Motor Show and plans to showcase it at 2018 Auto Expo.
After the launch of Renault Kwid there has been a drop in sales of Maruti Suzuki Alto, however, the Alto still continued to be a market leader in entry-level segment.
There are not much details about the new hatchback it is expected that it could have a higher ground clearance and SUV styling. It may carry the usual Maruti Suzuki engines - the 800cc and 1.0-litre petrol.
