Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan becomes youngest cricketer to claim 100 T20 wickets Friday Sep 15,2017

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan became the youngest cricketer to take 100 T20 wickets when he achieved the feat during the Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) on Friday Sep 15,2017
The youngster, who is just five days away from his 19th birthday, took 3/22 for Bamd-e-Amir Dragons during their SCL 2017 game against Boost Defenders to reach the landmark. Rashid was the wrecker-in-chief for his side and thanks to his heroics, Bamd-e-Amir Dragons won the match by 6 runs.
The leg-spinner broke the record of English left-arm spinner Danny Briggs who achieved the feat when he was 23 years 56 days old. Jasprit Bumrah (23 years 57 days) is third on the list.
However, when it comes to the number of matches, Rashid Khan (66) is the joint second fastest along with Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis. The record belongs to West Indies bowler Krishmar Santokie who took his first 100 T20 wickets in just 54 matches.
Rashid Khan, one of the successful bowlers in this year’s Indian Premier League, also became the first Afghan cricketer to join Big Bash League when he signed for the Adelaide Strikers on Thursday.
Rashid has claimed 63 wickets in 29 one-day internationals, including the fourth best figures in one-day history -- 7 for 18 against the West Indies in June. He was also the first bowler to take a hat-trick in the T20 Caribbean Premier League, playing for the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
