Why The Afghan War Is A Costly Engagement For The US

The US invaded Afghanistan on October 7, 2001 as a reaction to the 9/11 attacks. 

Though the US did manage to defeat the Taliban and destroy the al-Qaida network, it has been unable to finish them. 

Now the US President has said that he will be sending more troops to the ground, a move that the American people are not so sure about any more.
