The first poster of much-anticipated film Padman is here and it features Akshay Kumar as a simpleton from a small town with a big vision. The poster sees Akshay's character on a cycle at Varanasi Ghat, with both his hands in the air.

Padman is said to be a biopic on Arunachalam Muruganantham and will chronicle his journey of finding a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village. The film stars Akshay along with Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor. Amitabh Bachchan will have a cameo appearance in the film.
The film has been shot in a village near Indore. Directed by R Balki, the film is set to release on April 13
