Thala Ajith Kumar’s much anticipated Vivegam, which has been made on a lavish budget of over Rs 100 crore, has been cleared with U/A certificate and has been confirmed to release on August 24, 2017 according to its makers.
While fans are slightly disappointed that the film has been postponed from its original release date of August 10, they heaved a sigh of relief that the release has been finalised.
The principal shooting of Ajith’s Vivegam, one of the most anticipated Tamil releases of the year, was wrapped up earlier this month. Last month, the makers released the first single Surviva from the album and it was extremely well received and was streamed over a million times on Saavn. In the film, Ajith plays an Interpol agent and is said to have performed a lot of stunts without any body double.
Director Siva has teamed up for the third time with Ajith after Veeram and Vedalam. The film also introduces Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist to Tamil filmdom. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan also play pivotal roles in Vivegam.
