BSE Sensex hit a life-time high of 32,232.63 points Monday July 24,2017

he benchmark BSE Sensex hit a life-time high of 32,232.63 points and the NSE index Nifty scaled a new peak of 9,967.80 points on continued buying by foreign funds and domestic institutional investors despite weak global cues.
At 11 a.m. Monday July 24,2017, the 30-share BSE index Sensex was up 192.63 points or 0.6 per cent at 32,221.52 and the 50-share NSE index Nifty was up 51.85 points or 0.52 per cent at 9,967.10
Among BSE sectoral indices, consumer durables index gained the most by 1.1 per cent, followed by FMCG 0.96 per cent, IT 0.77 per cent and TECk 0.74 per cent. Only healthcare index was down 0.15 per cent.
Top five Sensex gainers were Reliance (+2.19%), ITC (+1.91%), Wipro (+1.82%), ICICI Bank (+1.29%) and Infosys (+1.13%), while the major losers were Dr Reddy's (-1.68%), ONGC (-1.34%), Asian Paints (-0.83%), L&T (-0.42%) and Sun Pharma (-0.37%).
