The Monsoon Session of Parliament got underway on Monday July 17,2017 and was adjourned for the day after obituary references to Vinod Khanna and Anil Dave.
Among the crucial bills lined for passage this session are the anti-corruption bill, the whistleblowers’ bill and the citizenship bill.
Proceedings, however, are unlikely to be smooth as the Opposition hopes to corner the government on a range of issues, including the Doklam standoff with China, the security situation in Kashmir and the recent cases of lynchings
