Parvathamma Rajkumar, wife of late actor Rajkumar passes away


Parvathamma Rajkumar, wife of late legendary actor Dr Rajkumar, breathed her last today at MS Ramaiah Hospital, Bengaluru. She was 78.
Parvathamma Rajkumar is survived by three sons and two daughters. The last rites of the deceased will be held on Wednesday evening at Kanteerava Studio, next to her husband Dr Rajkumar, who had died on April 12, 2006.
She was 78-year-old. Parvathamma passed away at 4.40am this morning, after suffering from prolonged illness.

Parvathamma Rajkumar was hospitalised on May 14 for renal problems and was kept under the support of ventilation. She suffered a cardiac arrest at 4:30 am and breathed her last at 4:40 am. "She was known case of Breast Malignancy with metastasis to her Liver & Lungs.Her Renal functions had also compromised," said the statement released by the hospital.
" At about 10 pm on 30th Night, her pulse & BP started falling despite all measures. She had a cardiac arrest at 4.30 am. Despite all active measures, she failed to respond. She was declared dead at 4.40 am.(sic)" said Ramaiah hospital president Dr Naresh Shetty.

Walking in the footsteps of her husband Parvathamma has donated her eyes too. Her sons Shivraj, Ragavendra and Punit were present at the hospital.
Paravathamma, under the banners Vajreshwari Combines and Poornima Enterprises, has produced about 80 movies, featuring her husband Rajkumar and their sons.
Blockbuster movies produced by her include "Trimurthy", "Haalu Jenu", "Kaviratna Kalidasa" and "Jeevana Chaitra" starring Rajkumar.
As a mark of respect to the departed, Kannada film industry has decided to remain shut on Wednesday May 31,2017
