Toyota Lexus debuts in India with three models starting from Rs 55.27 lakh Friday March 24,2017

Lexus, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese car maker Toyota, has officially made its debut in India on Friday by launching three vehicles in the country - Lexus RX450H hybrid SUV, Lexus LX 450d and Lexus ES 300H hybrid Sedan

Lexus RX450H hybrid SUV is available in two variants and is priced between Rs 1.07 crore - 1.09 crore. Lexus ES 300H hybrid Sedan has been priced for Rs 55.27 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Prices for Lexus LX 450d will be revealed later, says the company.

Lexus will begin the deliveries from march 24th.

The company debuted about 25 years ago and the it claims to have sold over 1 million hybrid vehicles globally. Lexus begins its operations in India with four dealerships - two in Delhi and one each in Mumbai and Bangalore.

Additionally it will also establish service centres in Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.

Lexus RX450H comes to India via the CBU route and the SUV is powered by V6, aluminium petrol engine and also gets an electric motor. The car sheds out a power of 259 hp (excluding electric motor) and 334.8 Nm (excluding hybrid motor) of torque. The electric motor can produce a max power of 165 hp.

Lexus RX450H hybrid gets 18-inch wheels and front LED fog lamps integrated into the bumper. The company has also integrated 'Hybrid' badge on the side molding of rear door.

The SUV gets features like Auto on/off headlamps, Rain sensing wipers and inside the car

Next up is the hybrid sedan ES 300h. The sedan will also come to India as a completely built unit and gets a 2.5L petrol/hybrid engine which sheds 156 hp (engine alone) and 211 Nm of torque (engine alone).

Overall total system horsepower claimed by the company is 200hp. The sedan gets a front engine, front wheel drive engine. Exteriors of the car looks aggressive and gets LED headlamps with partially separated with DRls. Lexus is also offering 17-inch alloy wheels.

Lexus LX 450d gets a 5.7L V8 diesel engine that sheds out 383 hp of power and 403 Lb-ft of torque. This is the only diesel SUV launched by the Japanese auto-maker
