Tait is married to Indian model Mashoom Singha, who he met while playing for IPL side Rajasthan Royals in 2010.
Tait’s announcement has also given rise to speculations that the Aussie might represent India in future.
One of the fastest bowlers in the world, the pacer was the star of Australia’s 2007 ODI World Cup winning team. Tait has also bowled the second fastest deliver ever recorded.
The fast bowler has played 35 ODIs, 21 T20Is and 3 Tests for the Team from Down Under.
