How Isro’s satellites kept an eye on cyclonic storm Vardah that hit Chennai on Dec 12,2016

Weather satellites that Isro sent onboard GSLVs help weathermen predict the intensity of a cyclone early and more accurately. 

 This in turn has helped improve cyclone preparedness and save precious lives.
