Petrol, Diesel Cheaper If You Pay By Card

In a move to encourage digital payments, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday Dec 08,2016 announced that consumers paying for petrol and diesel via digital mode will get a discount of 0.75 per cent.

"Digital mode used for buying petrol and diesel will get a 0.75 per cent discount," Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.

"4.5 crore consumers buy petrol and diesel worth Rs. 1,800 crore daily, in one month, digital payments have doubled to 40 per cent," added Mr Jaitley.
