In today’s world where there is so much profanity and hatred that we often think kindness is obsolete, certain sweet gestures win our heart and reassure us.
We all know about the sad outcomes of drunk driving and how people are advised not to do so. Many a time people leave their cars parked outside a pub or a restaurant for the night and it often does not end on a pleasant note. However, something beautiful happened when a Canadian woman left her car parked outside a restaurant for a night.
When Paula Grzelak-Schultz of Alberta returned to the parking lot the next day, she found a note attached to the windshield of her car. When she read the note, she was completely overwhelmed. The car was parked outside a pub, an Original Joe’s restaurant and the authorities left it for her.
She found a very heartwarming message in the letter and to make it even better, it came with free chicken wings! Yes, it happened. The sensible and responsible authorities thanked her “for not drinking and driving.” And leaving the car parked overnight.
Grzelak-Schultz shared the letter on Facebook and said she was “impressed.”
Here’s what the letter said:
Dear Original Joe’s Sherwood Park Guest, Just wanted to thank you for leaving your car parked overnight. I’m not sure if you had consumed alcohol at our restaurant or not, but we wanted to thank you for not drinking and driving. Enclosed is a voucher good for 1 lb. of our delicious chicken wings. Please accept this as a thank you for being responsible. Life is valuable, have a great weekend.
