Triumph Bonneville T100 Launched in India at Rs 7.78 lakh



Triumph Motorcycles is known for its retro-styled Bonneville range all over the world and has received much success in the Indian market too.


The company has launched a new member of the Bonneville family in India in the form of the - T100 at a price tag of Rs Rs 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Inspired the iconic 1959 Bonneville, the T100 also takes inspiration from its older sibling - the T120.

The bike the signature sculpted Bonneville fuel tank, wire-spoke wheels, 'peashooter' silencers with two-tone paint options, giving the motorcycle a retro look.

At the heart of the motorcycle is the 900cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with fuel-injection that delivers 54 bhp at 5,900 RPM and 80 Nm of torque at 3,230 RPM and comes mated to a 5-speed transmission.

According to the company, the T100 delivers 22 percent more power in the mid-range and 18 percent more peak torque as compared to the previous generation model.

Fuel tank capacity is 14.5 litres and the bike weighs 213 kilos (dry)

The T100 might look retro but it has a modern touch under the skin.

The bike comes loaded with technology like switchable Anti-Lock BRaking System (ABS), ride-by-wire, engine immobiliser, torque-assist clutch for lighter clutch action and USB charging port under the seat.

It also gets the signature twin-pod instrument console which adds to the overall retro design approach of the T100. Other than the speedometer and tachometer, it has gear position indicator, service indicator, range to empty, fuel level, average and also functions as a mean to operate the switchable ABS via the handlebar mounted scroll button.

Triumph's latest offering into the Indian market makes it one of the most Triumph Bonneville Street-Twin, the T100 competes mainly with the Ducati Scrambler Icon, which also follows the same design approach and delivers similar specifications.
