Petra Kvitova Sacks Second Coach This Year




Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic)said Tuesday Sep 06,2016 she had parted ways with Frantisek Cermak after the US Open, the second coach she has sacked this year.


"After coming back from America, we have agreed with Frantisek Cermak to end our cooperation," the 26-year-old Czech world number 16 said in a press release.

"For now I will train without a coach like at the beginning of the season, but of course that's not the final state of things," added the 2011 and 2014 Wimbledon winner.

Two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova is without a coach for the second time this year after firing former doubles specialist Frantisek Cermak.

The pair had only begun their partnership in April, but the 26-year-old Czech has already made the decision to terminate their relationship. 

Petra Kvitova announced her decision in a statement to local media after she returned from the 2016 US Open, where she was eliminated by second seed Angelique Kerber 6-3, 7-5 in the fourth round



The left-handed former World No.2 sacked coach David Kotyza after seven years following her second-round demise at the Australian Open in January 2016
