Apple iPhone 7 Price in India Starts at Rs 60,000, Goes on Sale on October 07,2016

Amidst a packed Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Apple CEO Tim Cook finally took the wraps off the long-awaited iPhone 7 in San Francisco on Wednesday Sep 07,2016

  • The new iPhone 7 will begin at $649 (£599) with the new iPhone 7 plus version starting at $769
  • Preorders start on Friday, and will ship on September 16 in 30 countries including the US, UK and Australia
  • The iPhone 7 kills off the headphone socket which Apple claims is a 'courageous' move
  • iPhone 7 plus will have a new dual lens camera to boost image quality and allow optical zoom
  • There will be no 16gb version of the iPhone 7, just 32GB, 128GB and 256GB

In tune with speculations, the iPhone 7 indeed comes in two new design finishes - Jet Black and Black.

Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be available in silver, gold, rose gold and the new black finish in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models starting at Rs 60,000 and the new jet black finish will be offered exclusively on the 128GB and 256GB models from Apple Authorised Resellers and select carriers. The phone will be available in India beginning Friday, October07,2016

The iPhone 7 features a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with wide colour gamut and a new home button which is now force-sensitive and comes with Taptic Engine

The all-new iPhone 7 comes in two display sizes of 4.7 inches and larger at 5.5 inches for the iPhone 7 Plus version. Lack of the headphone jack also makes the device slimmer and water resistant.

The iPhone 7 is water and dust resistant, and its high-end version comes with the widely speculated dual rear camera module. The iPhone 7 Plus features two 12 megapixel sensors in the rear with two-tone flash and quad-LED. It is further boosted by 7 megapixel FaceTime HD camera. However, as reported earlier, the dual camera setup is restricted to the high-end premium model.

In tune with popular speculation, Apple has ditched the analogue 3.5mm headphone jack for a lightning connector port that doubles up for charging. Along with the new port for headphones, Apple also introduced a new product - the Apple Airpods - wireless earphones that deliver an audio experience up to 24 hours of total listening. It is priced at $159.
