With Priv,BlackBerry introduced its first smartphone running rival operating system.

The super pricey model blended the traditional slider keyboard with a full touch display and came powered by both the Android software and BlackBerry's security.

Now, the Canadian smartphone maker is back with a second device - the BlackBerry DTEK 50 - that is priced at $299 and does not feature a keyboard

The phone lacks the slider keyboard as seen in Priv but features the customisable BlackBerry Convenience Key that lets you access most used apps, tasks, etc with a single press.

The phone comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with PDAF and dual-tone LED flash accompanied with an 8 megapixel front camera with LED flash.

Under its hood is a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 Octa-Core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. BlackBerry is allowing for memory expansion up to 2 TB via microSD card.
