Tomas Berdych completed the Wimbledon quarter-finals line-up by coming out on top against Czech countryman Jiri Vesely.
It
was locked at two sets apiece after Monday, when Berdych wasted five
match points before bad light forced the tie to be halted.
Berdych
wanted it done and dusted then, but his request to make the short walk
to Centre Court was turned down, and it set up a one-set shootout
between the two on Tuesday.
Even so, the former
Wimbledon runner-up returned, made no mistake on the No 3 Court, and won
6-4, 3-6, 6-7 (8), 7-6 (9), 3-6 in just short of four hours
