2016 World Environment Day - June 05 ,2016

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action.

 The first World Environment Day was on 1973. World Environment Day is hosted every year by a different city with a different theme and is commemorated with an international exposition in the week of June 05

The theme for 2016 is "fight against the illegal trade in wildlife”. Angola is the host country of this year

The theme for 2015 was 'Seven Billion Dreams; One Planet; Consume with Care'

The 2014 theme for World Environment Day will focus on 'Small Islands and Climate Change', the official slogan for the year 2014 is ''Raise Your Voice Not The Sea Level ''
