Tuning up for the 2016 Rio Olympics, Mo Farah on Sunday June 05,2016 broke 34-year-old 3,000 metre British record at Birmingham Diamond League.
Mo Farah collected his sixth British outdoor mark by clocking seven minutes 32.62 seconds at the Alexander Stadium, wiping out David Moorcroft's time of 7mins 32.79secs from 1982, set before Farah was even born.
The reigning 5,000m Olympic champion clocked seven minutes 32.62 seconds to beat Dave Moorcroft's 34-year-old record. And with that he now holds the British records at 1500m, two miles, 3,000m, 5,000m and 10,000m, as well as half-marathon on the road.
The 33-year-old dedicated the victory to his hero Muhammad Ali, the boxing great who died on Friday June 03,2016 aged 74.
