Satheesh Bino is city police commissioner while wife Ajeetha is rural SP
When Satheesh Bino IPS takes charge as the new Kollam City Police Commissioner on Monday June 06,2016 following the reshuffle in the department, the responsibility of law and order in the district will be in the hands of the young Police couple – Satheesh Bino and his wife Ajeetha Begum IPS, who is currently the Kollam Rural SP. It is the first time the district has a couple at the helm of the Police department.
The couple were brought under a single cadre of Kerala in 2012, after their marriage in 2011. Satheesh Bino, a B.Tech and MBA graduate, was serving as the Kottayam SP before his appointment in Kollam. The couple has a son, Arhan.
Ajeetha Begum who had acquired a good image in the department in her short tenure was appointed as the Rural SP in the district during the recent Assembly elections
