The film, which has been schedule for June 17 release, has been facing problems in getting Censor Board’s certificate
The censor board is demanding 89 cuts in Anurag Kashyap's directorial 'Udta Punjab' has already created a stir in the industry.
The revising committee demands 89 cuts which includes 35 instances of cuss words and any reference to Punjab or any other city to be removed from the film.
The film's controversy comes after Punjab's Akali Dal raised some objections to the film.
Akali Dal party is allegedly concerned that the film which stars Shahid Kapoor as a Punjabi rockstar Tommy Singh highlights the drug problem in the state, where assembly elections will be held in 2017
