Hundreds of
thousands of Cubans marched Sunday May 01,2016 in the country's annual May Day
rally, which condemned a campaign to 'destabilize' leftist governments
around Latin America.
The
island traditionally holds huge festive demonstrations to mark
International Workers' Day, which this year comes at a turbulent time
for the communist government that has dominated Cuba for decades.
More
than 600,000 people participated in the march on Havana's Plaza de la
Revolution, many waving socialist flags and posters of Fidel Castro, as
President Raul Castro presided over the event.
Hundreds of thousands of people block the roads of the way to the square
for the march on Sunday, held in support of the Castro government
President Raul Castro wearing a white shirt and straw hat, appeared to give the crowd a wave from the stage as he watched the parade
