The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed as national Twenty20 captain to replace Shahid Afridi
Shahid Afridi quit as captain after Pakistan lost 3 of its 4 group matches at the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 tournament in India, but said he wanted to continue playing the shortest format of international cricket
The PCB says that chairman Shaharyar Khan spoke to Sarfraz Ahmed on Tuesday April 05,2016 and conveyed to him that he was “our natural choice for this position.”
