Gatimaan Express,India's first semi-high speed train flagged off Tuesday April 05,2016


India's first semi-high speed train Gatimaan Express has been flagged off today Tuesday April 05,2016




Gatimaan Express which will run at the speed of 160 km/hour between Delhi and Agra will cover the 184 km distance in 105-110 minutes.



Gatimaan Express will be faster than the fastest Shatabdi, i.e. the New Delhi-Bhopal Habibganj Shatabdi Express whose maximum speed is 140-150 km/hour.

Gatimaan Express will depart at 8:10 am from Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and reach Agra at 9:50 am. Except Friday, the train will ply on a regular basis

Passengers will have to cough up Rs. 690, 25 per cent more what the Shatabdi charges, to travel in the AC chair car of Gatimaan Express

has 12 AC coaches

provided with free wi-fi facility

automatic doors and 8-inch LCDs on every seat


passengers will be assisted by host and hostesses


passengers offered a wide variety of food options to choose from — continental, Indian, Italian, Indian and others
