2016 IPL Season 09 - Perennial favourites RCB hope to end title jinx

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is one team that has always been the favourite to win the title but is yet to claim the trophy as the Indian Premier League (IPL) comes back in its ninth edition starting Saturday.April 09,2016

RCB are a batting powerhouse with the likes of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers in their ranks and one of the most impressive squads on paper in the league, but the best they have achieved so far is the runners-up cheque in the 2009 and 2011 editions

With Kohli, Gayle and De Villiers in their team, RCB, are undoubtedly the strongest batting unit in IPL and now the inclusion of Watson adds even more strength to the line-up.

RCB suffered a big blow after Mitchell Starc, who is recovering from an ankle surgery, confirmed that he will not be part of the squad this season.Mitchell Starc was RCB's best performer with the ball last season and apart from taking 20 wickets, he was also one of the most economical bowlers.

In Mitchell Starc's absence, Varun Aaron will lead their pace attack with Shane Watson
