2015-16 UEFA Champions League QF Second Leg Manchester City Vs Paris Saint Germain Tuesday April 12,2016

Manchester City faces PSG in the 2nd leg with the 1st leg ending in a 2-2 draw giving Manchester City the two away goals advantage
Thanks to two away goals in the first leg, a 0-0 or 1-1 draw, or any victory, will be enough to take Manchester City through.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany will not return from injury for his side's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Paris St-Germain at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday  April 12,2016

Vincent Kompany has been plagued by calf injuries in recent seasons, with the latest the 14th such problem he has sustained since joining City in 2008.

Manchester City have lost only three times this season when Kompany has played and in one of those games - a 2-1 defeat by Juventus in September 2015 - they conceded the winning goal after he had been substituted

Without Vincent Kompany ,Manchester City look far less secure at the back but Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala will again be charged with trying to keep PSG and top scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic at bay.

If Manchester City make it into the last four, they will be only the second Premier League side - after Chelsea in 2014 - to reach that stage of the competition since 2012

PSG, who beat Chelsea in the last round, have been knocked out at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League in each of the past three seasons.

PSG will be without centre-back David Luiz and midfielder Blaise Matuidi for the game at City through suspension

Manchester City enters the SF's beating PSG 3-2 by aggrgate goals
Manchester City are into the SF's of the 2015-16 UEFA CL for the first time after Kevin de Bruyne's late strike sealed a thrilling win over Paris St-Germain.

After a 2-2 first-leg draw, the tie remained in the balance,Manchester City had Joe Hart to thank for three fine saves at 0-0, notably a ferocious Zlatan Ibrahimovic free-kick that the England goalkeeper clawed to safety.
But, roared on by a capacity crowd of 53,039 at Etihad Stadium that supplied an unforgettable atmosphere, City held their nerve at the back before De Bruyne's decisive strike 15 minutes from time with their only shot on target

  • Manchester City have become the 10th English club to make a Champions League/European Cup semi-final (after Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Derby, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham).

  • Sergio Aguero has missed two of his past three penalties in the Champions League for City after scoring all of the previous five for them in the competition.
