Air-conditioned services on the Mumbai suburban rail network, which has been in the works for long, will soon become a reality as the first local train is all set to be rolled out from the workshop by March 2016
Commuters will have to wait for some more time though as test runs have to be completed before the trains are introduced as part of the regular service
The Mumbai suburban train services that comprise western and central lines, carry about 76 lakh passengers daily, and has one of the highest density of commuters per train globally.
