2016 Assam Assembly Elections - United Liberation Front of Assam (Independent)Asks People Not To Vote For BJP

United Liberation Front of Assam (Independent) has once again come out against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and asked the people of the state not to vote for it or its allies in the Assembly elections on April 4 and 11,2016

ULFA (I)which is fighting for an independent Assam wants clarification on the following issues

 1) BJP needs to come clear on 16 ULFA cadres who went missing after the operation 'All Clear' by Bhutan forces

2) Why is Sarbananda Sonowal, who is a former All Assam Students Union (AASU) leader saying Bharat Mata ki Jai instead of Jai Ahom in this Ahom land

3) Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) should come clean on whether they did secret killings during their tenure or not, and

4) If people vote for BJP without them coming clean on these issues, then the result would be 'grave'

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Sonowal and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma have been ULFA's target ever since elections were announced in the state.

The outfit had accused Sonowal of using ULFA cadres to kill student leader Saurav Bora in Dibrugarh University in May 1986.

The outfit claimed that the political killings were carried out without its leader Baruah's consent.

Sonowal was discharged by Gauhati High Court in the killing of Saurav Bora.

Ulfa (I) also criticised Sonowal for attending an election rally of Bhaskar Sarma, BJP candidate from Margherita constituency and a former member of the insurgent group.
