Punjab University Student Nikhil Bansal forced Snapdeal to sell him iPhone 5S for just Rs 68

One mistake by Snapdeal cost the company huge. Punjab University B.Tech student Nikhil Bansal got an iphone 5S from the e-commerce giant for Rs 68.

The cost of iPhone 5S on Snapdeal is Rs 28,999.

Nikhil Bansal spotted a 99.7 percent discount on an iPhone and he did not miss a single second and ordered it for Rs 68 on February 12,2016

However, he did not receive it because it might have been a technical snag rather than a great Snapdeal discount.

Nikhil Bansal then took Snapdeal to consumer court in Punjab’s Sangrur district, alleging that the e-commerce company refused to ‘honor the deal’, reported Trak.in.

The court not only ordered Snapdeal to sell him the iPhone 5S for Rs 68, but also pay a Rs 2,000 penalty.
