2016 U-19 ICC World Cup in Bangladesh - Bangladesh beats Sri Lanka to finish third

Bangladesh scripted a famous victory over Sri Lanka to finish third in the ICC U-19 World Cup in Mirpur on Saturday February 13,2016
Bangladesh bowled out Sri Lanka for a paltry 214 runs at Fatullah with skipper Charith Asalanka top scoring for the island nation with 76 runs.

In their chase Bangladesh lost two quick wickets before Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Mehedi Hasan Miraz added 88 runs to bail the hosts out.

In the end Bangladesh crossed the target with three wickets to spare

West Indies won the toss and chose to field

West Indies produced an outstanding bowling performance to outclass India by five wickets in the final match to win their maiden Under-19 World Cup tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Sunday Feb 14,2016

Batting first, India were bundled out for a meagre 145 runs in 45.1 overs,despite Sarfaraz Khan's fourth fifty of the tournament 51 Runs(89 Balls 4x5 and 6x1) where he held one end up, Indian batsmen fell prey to West Indies pacers led by Alzarri Joseph (3 for 39)and Ryan John (3-38)

While chasing, the West Indies got off to a disappointing start losing both openers Gidron Pope (3) and Tevin Imlach (15) inside eight overs to be reduced to 28/2.

WI Captain Shimron Hetmyre scored 23(53 Balls 4x1)

The  unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 69 between Keemo Paul 40*(68 Balls 4x1 and 6x1)and Keacy Carty 52*(125 Balls 4x2)helped West Indies clinch a last-over thriller

The dismissal gave Indians the confidence they were looking for as Dagar struck twice in consecutive overs soon after, sending Springer and Jyd Goolie (3) packing. Thw West Indies were 77/5 inside the 29th over at that stage.

But Carty and incoming batsman and Paul held on under pressure, without losing anymore wickets to take them home.
