India and West Indies are primed for the ICC U-19 World Cup final on Sunday - the first time these two countries will meet in the title match of a world event at any level across formats
If India win on Sunday, they will surpass Australia for the most number of titles in the U-19 showpiece event. The sub-continent team last lifted the trophy in 2012 after winning it in 2008 and 2000. (Getty Images)

Kapil Dev lifted the World Cup trophy after the 1983 final at Lord's - bringing down the mighty West Indies. And the India U-19 skipper, Ishan Kishan, would want to repeat the feat of Kapil's Devils 32 years later.

Road to the Finals
India topped Group D with wins over New Zealand, Nepal and Ireland before thrashing Namibia and Sri Lanka in the quarter-final and semi-final respectively.

West Indies, on the other hand, conceded a heavy defeat against England to start the tournament. But they staged a remarkable recovery to beat Fiji and Zimbabwe and progress to the last-eight stage where they upset one of the favourites Pakistan.
The West Indies' boys then registered a nervous three-wicket win over hosts Bangladesh in the semis to set up a final date with India.
