Wipro names Abid Ali Neemuchwala as CEO Monday January 04,2016

India's third largest IT outsourcer, Wipro Ltd on Monday  January 04,2016 ​said it ​has appointed Abid Ali Neemuchwala as CEO & member of the board. He replaces TK Kurien who has been appointed executive vice chairman. ​

  

Both these appintments are effective from February 1. Kurien will remain a member of the board until March 31, 2017.

"As executive vice chairman, TK will enable Abid by leveraging his deep relationships with customers and chart out a new tchnology roadmap for Wipro," Premji said in a statement.
