 Rail passengers to pay up to Rs 25 extra for trains crossing  Patna-Digha bridge

The railway ministry  is all set to charge tax from the travellers and to begin with the railway has imposed tax on Patna-Digha bridge.
AC first class                      25 Rs
AC second class                25 Rs
AC third class                    15 Rs
Sleeper                               15 Rs
General                              5 Rs
Goods train                        10 Rs


The ministry has imposed surcharge tax on all trains which will be crossing the Patna-Digha bridge.
Senior DCM of Sonpur, Dilip Kumar informed, "To begin with the railway ministry has decided to impose surcharge on AC coaches and general, this will automatically increase the tickets charges of the trains crossing the bridge. This surcharge will also be imposed on goods train."

It may be mentioned here that the ministry has named the project 'Gateway of North Bihar' and it will improve connectivity across the state.
