- Some initiatives have been taken to give boost to Khadi production
- I was told that to fulfill this demand of Khadi from government departments, additional jobs of 18 lakh man days will be generated
- On 30th January, martyrdom day of Bapu, I once again urge people to have at least 1 pair of Khadi in their wardrobe
- Many people have written to me telling me about major changes that solar 'Charkha' (spinning wheel) has brought in their lives
- Government schools in Gujarat and Haryana invited the most educated daughter of the village for flag hoisting
- Haryana & Gujarat, by giving importance to daughters, especially educated daughters, gave an excellent example of Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao
- In my last Mann Ki Baat , I had raised two issues. First, as a citizen, why should we not clean up the statues of great people? Second, thing which I talked about was how to bring duties at the centre of discussion
- I can think of only one way of providing security to distressed farmers and that is Crop Insurance Scheme. Let us integrate as many farmers as possible with the crop insurance scheme.
