The Navakerala March, a state-level campaign organised
by the CPI(M) ahead of the Assembly elections this year, will commence
from Kasaragod on January 15,2016
Former party general
secretary Prakash Karat is scheduled to inaugurate the march led by
CPI(M) politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan.
The inaugural function will be
held at 4 p.m. at Uppala, Kasaragod. State secretary Kodiyeri
Balakrishnan and Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan will be
among the leaders participating in the function.
The march will
highlight the slogan ‘secular, corruption-free, developing Kerala’.
The
month-long campaign will cover all Assembly constituencies before
ending in a rally in Thiruvananthapuram on February 14,2016
A pressnote
issued by the State committee said CPI(M) leaders M.V. Govindan, K.J.
Thomas, P.K. Sainaba, M.B. Rajesh, P.K. Biju, A. Sampath, and K.T.
Jaleel will be part of the march.
