Australia on Monday January 18,2016 named a powerful 17-man squad for the three-match
Twenty20 international series against India this month, with an eye to
the upcoming World T20.
However, Test captain Steve Smith and his deputy David Warner will
play only in the opening match in Adelaide on January 26 before sitting
out the other games to prepare for the first ODI against New Zealand in
Auckland on February 3,2016
The second T20 takes place in Melbourne on January 29 while the final game will be in Sydney on January 31,2016

A fractured left thumb has ruled Bhuvneshwar Kumar out of the T20 series against Australia.
Rishi Dhawan, who is part of India's ODI squad, will stay on in Australia as Bhuvneshwar's replacement.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up the injury while trying to stop a David Warner straight drive off his own bowling during the fourth ODI in Canberra on January 20,2016
The injury forced him out of the fifth ODI in Sydney, with India picking the debutant Jasprit Bumrah in his place.
