Adam Voges, Shaun Marsh record highest fourth wicket stand in tests

 

Adam Voges and Shaun Marsh put together the highest 4th wicket partnership in the history of test cricket when their stand reached 438 on the second day of the first test against West Indies in Hobart on Friday.
The partnership bettered the 437 that Mahela Jayawardene and Thilan Samaraweera combined to score for Sri Lanka against Pakistan in Karachi in 2009

The previous highest partnership in Tests in Australia, before the stand between Voges and Marsh was between Don Bradman and Sid Barnes who had added 405 for the 5th wicket in the Ashes at the SCG in 1946-47
The partnership between Voges and Marsh is only the second 400-plus stand in Tests in Australia.
