Renault Kwid Receives 70,000 Bookings; Grabs 10 % Share in Segment

 
Renault Kwid had managed to garnerover 50000 bookings in October 2015 and now word has it that Renault is still going strong with orders for its recently launched hatchback.
 
Now word has it that the Renault Kwid has received almost 70,000 bookings.

A player in the entry-level hatchback segment, as Renault's hatchback continues to gain momentum in the market, its waiting period is also likely to be affected.

The last number we had was as much as 6 months in some cities

Renault Kwid houses an 800cc petrol unit mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The motor develops 54bhp and 72Nm of peak torque, and its mileage is rated at 25.17km/l, which makes Renault Kwid India's most fuel-efficient petrol car.

Other than 98 per cent localisation, Renault Kwid also offers multiple segment-first features such as 300-litre boot space, 180mm ground clearance, and a 4.1-inch touch-screen infotainment system, etc.

Renault,the French carmaker is also offering a 50,000 Km/2 years Maintenance Policy on the Renault Kwid that can be further extended up to 80,000 KM/4 years, and complementary Road Side Assistance for 2 years

In the meanwhile, Renault Kwid's competition namely, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon, have been performing well too. While the Alto brand collectively sold 22,861 units in October, Hyundai sold 6,479 units of the Eon too.
