Virat Kohli - 1st Indian batsmen to reach the milestone of 1,000 runs in the Twenty20 International (T20I) format

Virat Kohli achieves 1,000-run milestone in T20Is, during India vs South Africa 2015 1st T20I at Dharamsala on Oct 02,2015

Virat Kohli has become the first Indian batsmen to reach the milestone of 1,000 runs in the Twenty20 International (T20I) format. 

The feat was achieved during the first T20I between India and South Africa at Dharamsala. 

Coming into the match Kohli required just 28 runs to reach the milestone and he reached the milestone in style. 

Virat  Kohli’s average of over 46 is outstanding and is by far the best among batsmen with over 1,000 runs in the format.

Virat Kohli got to the milestone with a mammoth six of Imran Tahir and celebrated the landmark with another six

Brendon McCullum(NZ)tops the chart for most runs in T20Is and is the only batsman with over 2,000 runs in the international T20 game
