South Africa are on their longest-ever tour of India, which will stretch over 72 days and will include their first four-Test series in five years, since the 2009-10 home series against England.

India have only played two T20s in the last 12 months. They were both against Zimbabwe where they won a game and lost a game

India, put in to bat, were deflated by the Proteas pacers who made full use of a responsive Cuttack track and led by Albie Morkel's 3 for 12 bundled the hosts out for 92 in just 17.2 overs - their second lowest T20I score.
Their lowest was 74 against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in February 2008. 

The highlight of the day was South Africa's fielding that saw India losing two of their top three batsmen to run-outs

Virat Kohli for 1 and Rohit Sharma for 22 were two wickets that fell to moments of fielding brilliance by Chris Morris and David Miller respectively.

India, who had lost Shikhar Dhawan (11) in the fourth over, suffered more irreparable damage when Imran Tahir removed Suresh Raina (22) and Harbahajan Singh (0) off successive deliveries. The legspinner missed out on a hat-trick but bowled well with figures of 2 for 24

India were provided some lift by their spearhead R Ashwin who, after being brought on to bowl up front, took 3 for 24 to keep South Africa's score in check. He removed
Hashim Amla (2), Faf Du Plessis (16) and AB de Villiers (19) within the first 10 overs to keep the hosts in the game. However, defending a mere 92 to win, Ashwin's lion-hearted effort didn't prove enough.

Angry spectators hurled missiles, mainly water bottles, into the cricket ground after India were skittled out for 92 against South Africa in the second T20 International at the Barabati Stadium,Cuttack

Bottles are incidentally banned in most of the venues in India where water is supplied in pouches but an Odisha Cricket Association official said in Barabati Stadium the situation is different.

First-match heroes JP Duminy and Farhaan Behardien were at the crease when play was held up due to crowd trouble.
The first incident happened at the end of 11 overs, which led to a stoppage of 27 minutes. Match referee Chris Broad and umpires CK Nandan and C Shamshuddin decided to resume the match; however, the crowd behaviour didn't improve, which led to another stoppage at 63 for 3 in 13 overs.
More than 40 minutes of play was lost, but the organisers decided to finish the game off by clearing the sections from where bottles were being thrown
