Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits Google HQ Sunday Sep 27,2015

 
 Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Google's headquarters where he was taken around by Sundar Pichai and shown demos of cutting-edge Google technology including Project Iris, Street View and Google Earth. The Prime Minister also attended the Code for India event at the Google office.

Google will collaborate with Indian Railways to provide Wi-Fi services at 500 stations by next year, CEO Sundar Pichai said on Sunday Sep 27,2015 as Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the search engine giant’s main campus in California

Google releases map of first 100 stations to get Wi-Fi

Google on Monday Sep 28,2015 released a map of the first 100 railway stations that will get high-speed Wi-Fi in India.
According to Google’s official blog,’Even with just the first 100 stations online, the project will make Wi-Fi available for the more than 10 million people who pass through every day’.
The blog also claimed that, ‘this will be the largest public Wi-Fi project in India, and among the largest in the world, by number of potential users.’

Google welcomes Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a Doodle


 
Google on Monday Sep 28,2015 decorated its homepage with a small doodle as a sign of welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi to its headquarters in Mountain View, California.

The doodle beginning with a garland and with the message 'Welcoming PM Narendra Modi to Google' can be seen on the bottom of the homepage.

After Facebook, Modi visited Google's headquarters on Sunday Sep 27,2015 where he took a tour of the Internet search giant's HQ with CEO Sundar Pichai.

Google has announced that it will collaborate with Indian Railways to provide wi-fi services at 500 stations by next year.
